Canoeing from Pine Mountain to Lake
Hattie is not recommended as the way may be difficult and obstructed
by beaver dams at times. The route from Lake Hattie to Pine River
is navigable, but does also contain a number of beaver dams &
high wild rice areas in summer. Check ahead for water level information
at the Pine River Chamber- 1-800-728-6926 or stop at the Pine
River Information Center.

11) Stop at the Chamber Building for information
on Hwy 371 in Pine River.
12) Cross under Hwy 371-Walk and Vehicle bridges
13) Join West Fork of Pine River
14) Cross under Hwy 371 heading to the east
15) Hopper's Rapids - Watch for deer,
otters, bird-life and maybe bear along the way
16) Hopper's Bridge-Low Bridge-CAUTION AT
HIGH WATER!-20 yard portage
